Promote Your Business is a free UK business directory operated by InstaWebsite (Codemind Ltd). Businesses list at no cost and every listing is checked before publication. The directory makes money from optional promotion and advertising, both labelled as sponsored. It publishes no ratings or reviews.

Counted live from our database as this page loaded, so they are current rather than a number we updated once:

“Cities” and “categories” count only those that actually hold a listing. We could quote the several hundred UK cities we are able to cover; that would be true-ish and misleading, so we do not.
How listings are reviewed
Every submission is checked before publication. A submission whose own website names the business, with a working email and complete, plain details, is published automatically; everything else, including every business without a website and every ownership claim, is read by a person. No listing is created by scraping other websites. Approval means a listing can be published — it is not an endorsement, accreditation or background check, and we say so on the listings themselves.
What we will not say
We do not sell guaranteed Google rankings or guaranteed appearances in AI assistants, because nobody can deliver them. We do not sell links for search rankings. We publish no invented reviews, ratings or visitor numbers. If you see a claim of ours that looks like any of these, it is a mistake and we would like to know.
Research
We intend to publish data studies drawn from the directory — website adoption by trade and region, for example. We have not published any yet, because the dataset is not large enough for the findings to mean anything. When we do, each will carry its methodology, sample size, date range and limitations. We would rather publish nothing than publish a statistic that cannot bear weight.
